¡Let’s travel aimlessly!

This is the short version of the Inka Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu. This is an incredible and exciting trip to Machu Picchu through bicycles and rafting (Optional). During the first day and the last two days there are walks, where we will be able to appreciate mountains, valleys, rivers and go through small towns where people have their coca and coffee plantations and a great variety and diversity of types of tropical fruits.

In addition we will be able to see the ancient and original Inca Trail that connects to the city of the Incas; You will enjoy the adventure and adrenaline that this circuit offers us, in addition to relaxing in the thermal baths of Santa Teresa, without a doubt, one of the most unforgettable experiences towards Machupicchu.

The Inca Jungle excursion is an alternative path that combines adventure sports such as high-mountain biking, canoeing, zip line and the trek lasts 3 days until reaching Machu Picchu. The Inka Jungle Trail is the preferred tour for young people from all over the world who come to Cusco in search of adventure and extreme sports.

Day 1: Cusco – Santa María – Santa Teresa: Bicicleta y Rafting.

Pick up at 5:30 a.m. We will leave the Imperial City of Cusco to head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Before we will have the first breakfast, buffet style at Lorenzo Lodge Cusco. We will continue with the trip to the Málaga pass (4,350 meters above sea level), the starting point of our biking tour. After our guide's informative talk, we will give you the complete equipment for this type of activity. We will begin the descent by bicycle for three hours (50 km) to the town of Huamanmarca. During the trip we will experience the beauty of the snow-capped mountains and the tropical forest, where our Amazon begins, crossing small streams. In addition, we will enjoy the change from cold to tropical climate. During the journey there will be several stops to check bicycles and equipment. We will arrive at the town of Santa María (1,200 meters above sea level), where we will have lunch. Then we will have a private transport that will take us from Santa María to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo in Santa Teresa.

Before leaving Santa María, we have the option of rafting on the Vilcanota River (US$40). This river offers category III and III+ rapids. For this you will be provided with helmets, windbreaks and life jackets.

Day 2: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes Zip Line y Caminata.

We will start the zip line activity with one of the highly trusted operators in the area. This activity is optional (US$40) and lasts approximately two hours. Then, we will have a transport to the hydroelectric, where the government control is located to enter the Machu Picchu National Park (Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu). At this point we will begin our trekking towards the town of Aguas Calientes, passing through the sector called Intihuatana, a small archaeological site where the guide will give us an explanation. We will end the walk in the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the second night.

Day 3: Machu Picchu.

This is the most important day of the tour to get to know one of the seven wonders of the world. We will start very early, to be able to appreciate the sunrise in the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Your guide will provide you with a tour passing through the most important temples, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, and others. Then you will be free to explore Machu Picchu on your own. Later we will return to Aguas Calientes to take the return train to Ollantaytambo or Cusco.

It is recommended to bring only the necessary luggage for the three days of the tour. Large backpacks with equipment that are not needed for the expedition must be left in the city of Cusco (at your hotel or at our main office).
